Waldstein Buglemen LITVÍNOV
A classical brass quintet that mainly focuses on music of old masters of the 14th –18th century. It was founded in Litvínov and consists of five musicians (music school teachers), who play in classical instrumental cast: two trumpets, trombone, French horn and bombardon.
Concert programmes of this ensemble mainly consist of short music pieces of German, Italian, English and French masters. Often forgotten at the concerts because of being shaded by “big” compositions of their composers, such pieces hide unsuspected beauty. Among them there are little gems of most famous masters, as J. S. Bach, G. F. Händel, A. Scarlatti or H. PurceIl, even of nowadays forgotten ones. Among those are e.g. V. Hausmann, A. Banchieri or J. Stanley. The programme does not lack evergreens of Czech and world composers, though.
Thanks to short duration of the pieces the programme of the music ensemble can be adjusted according to the concert specifications. The music ensemble has played in concert halls, Czech castles and chateaus, spa resorts or educational concerts for children. Many concerts took place in churches and premises for different thematic purposes, like Christmas or Eastern concerts.
The pieces are hosted in Czech and according to the requests of the organiser in short form, both in German and English.
